Services
Electrical work is provided by Polarity Electrics London Ltd, NICEIC Approved Contractor enrolment 602034000. Work is carried out with reasonable care and skill and against the version of BS 7671 and other requirements applicable to the work on the relevant date. An inspection report records the condition observed and tested at the time; it is not a guarantee against future faults.
Website compliance information
Website guides provide general information for properties in England and are not legal advice or a substitute for a property-specific inspection, fire-risk assessment, local authority licence condition or professional advice. Requirements can vary by tenure, building use, location and risk. We confirm the applicable technical scope when quoting for a service.
Quotes & pricing
Quotations describe the included scope and remain subject to site conditions, access and information supplied by the customer. Weekend, emergency and additional works may be charged separately. Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. We obtain agreement before carrying out material chargeable work outside the agreed scope, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to make a dangerous condition safe.
Bookings
We usually require 24–48 hours’ notice. The customer must provide safe and timely access, disclose known hazards and relevant installation history, obtain any necessary landlord or occupier permissions, and ensure an authorised adult is available where required. Missed visits or late cancellations may incur a reasonable charge stated during booking.
Consumer cancellation rights
Where a consumer books at a distance or away from our premises, a statutory 14-day cancellation period may apply. If the consumer asks us to start during that period, they may have to pay a proportionate amount for work performed before cancellation. The right can be lost once a service has been fully performed after the consumer expressly requested an early start and acknowledged the effect on cancellation rights. Urgent repair requests may be treated differently where the law provides.
Certificates
Reports and certificates are normally processed within 3–5 working days after payment and completion of the required technical review. Times may vary where further information, remedial work or third-party notification is required. Customers should keep reports and provide them to tenants, authorities or other recipients where legally required.
Remedial findings and safety
Where an inspection identifies danger or potentially dangerous conditions, the customer remains responsible for arranging the required remedial action within the applicable period. We may isolate an immediately dangerous circuit or equipment where reasonably necessary for safety and permitted by the customer or law.
Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, concealed conditions, inaccurate information supplied to us, or losses caused by work outside our agreed scope. Business customers should refer to any additional limitations in their written quotation.
Complaints and governing law
Please raise service complaints promptly using info@polarityelectrics.com so we can investigate and offer an appropriate remedy. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory right to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom where applicable.
